1. been writing? whatchu been working on?
regaining a sense of voice, and enjoying writing again. and reading! the person who reads will want to write. or else its like eating without taking a dump.

2. what are your 5 favorite movies and why?
chungking express, the deerhunter, moonstruck, the english patient, and probably some miyazaki

all of them have equal parts irony, humor, romance, and a way of taking you into a whole 'nother world. the miyazaki got in there cos my boyfriend has turned me onto some animation stuff! thanks c.

3. what advice would you give someone who wanted to run a marathon?

Do it for something else besides yourself. You will never stop having a reason to run. Otherwise, you're just feeding your ego, and there's no reason to put your body through the stress unless you do it for a real cause. I did it for Team In Training through LLS in memory of my father.

4. got a favorite rapper? if so, why him/her?

The first person who came to mind was a female rapper named Mystic who did a song called Neptune's Jewels. I just like sung chorus. Notorious B.I.G. I like. And then of course, I like that guy who did "I like big Bibles and I cannot lie!".
5. what do you think is the coolest kitchen gadget ever? (note: "coolest," not "most necessary.") Salad spinner, hands down. Whoever figured that out did the world a favor without all the left over water after washing out your greens. The best salad spinners are the ones that convert from a colander into a spinner. Come to think of it, why don't I own one?
