The pics of the lake is Sherwin lake. It was a 2 mile, 1000 ft ascent hike. I was totally up for it and then when I got back down, I threw up and had a raging headache. Heat stroke, they said.
And then of course. The bears. There were bears at our camp site. Chris yelled at them, "Please go away!" and they actually listened to him. He's like the Beastmaster. Friend of all animals! Foe to those who are not! But no one should oil him up and make him wear a loin cloth. Please.
The weather was gorgeous and there was still snow up in the mountains!
Finally! We made it to the lake .. Sherwin Lake after a really long hike...
