only when necessary

I stayed home yesterday due to illness. I couldn't really use my voice because it hurt to talk. It made me realize what a relief it was to just be silent. Also, it made me to reflect on how many unnecessary words I use throughout the course of the day. Things said out of vanity, pride or pure impulsiveness. It makes me think of the verse in the Bible that asks us to reflect on whatever is righteous, praiseworthy, noble and true. If I ever have an excess in words, I hope it leans on the side of those things!
