Have you ever found yourself espousing the virtues of Trader Joe's? Maybe you mention how you love a certain product, and then the other person adds that you ought to try such and such, and then before long you've both worked yourself up in a rapture of Trader Joe's love? Sometimes one thing really does lead to another.
As for me, I visit Trader Joe's at least 3 times a week. It is a favorite past time for my coworkers and I to pick up a quick, fresh lunch, or to purchase a bouquet of flowers for the office, or some chocolate covered pretzels. Or that last minute bottle of wine.
Last week, I searched my TJ's stash and found my Roasted Pepita Simmer Sauce. There are many golden moments in life, but one of them is when you've found a food product that is not only tasty and original, but good and wholesome. TJ's. Mmm...
I returned to my local TJ's to pick up more of this sauce, but found none. No problem, TJ's is notorious for not always stocking the same products consistently. I decided to try my luck however with TJ's Customer Service. It was like a missing person's search, and I prepared for the worst. Thus, the following exchange:

Comments: Just cracked open my roasted pepita sauce a week ago. YUM!
YUM! Returned to TJ's today and saw that it wasn't on the shelves. Has
it been discontinued or was it just not my lucky day? I got it quite a
while ago... THANKS. Keep up the great work!
And the sad response ...
Michelle,
We appreciate your inquiry. Unfortunately, we have discontinued our
Roasted Pepita Simmer Sauce due to slow sales across the chain and we
have sold through all existing inventory. At this time there are no
plans to bring this item back. We have forwarded a request to the
Category Leader for reconsideration.
Thank you for shopping at Trader Joe's,
Amy

Mahalo, TJ's. It isn't your fault, but we loved your Pepita Sauce...
In other news, regarding the bad back, I've returned to work and I'm in physical therapy. After this disappointing response, we may need chocolate therapy from TJ's.

I was just about to suggest you contact and try to buy the Pepita Sauce when I realized that TJ's makes all the products it sells. *sigh* Too bad.
I'm glad to hear that your back is better. I pray that the physical therapy will be restorative and that God will heal your back.
a few more items you need to try:
unfiltered apple juice
mochi ice cream
"Cuties" ice cream sandwiches
salt-n-pepper Kettle potato chips
hilariously, when i read your post, i thought that section about your back was part of your reply to TJ's. i was like, wow, you must have a really good relationship with the store to share the progress of your back with them. ;)
B, maybe not so far fetched, cos it seems like this back is all I talk about nowadays! Oy! :)
The Trader known as Joe. I'm telling you, if he was a man, he'd be perfect.
Henry's is so much closer for me. But I agree Trader Joes rocks.
