The One Hundredth Post (or How God Sees It)
89 degrees Fahrenheit, the surge of summer about to shout. Los Angeles traffic streaming gracefully to a freeway. Bright blue sky, and the moon drifting away into slumber. The noticeable brown veil of smog hangs over the skyline. I frown, but God says, I can use that to make a beautiful sunset.

i do think God does redeem some of the brokenness of the world...like smog. but i also think God is sad about things like smog--as an example of ways we pollute and disregard the beauty and value of God's world.
What a lovely post, Michelle! :)
Indeed, God can.
