... and then a maybe a bit more weight... Ice Cream!

I understand that this posting will prove incongruous with my previous one, but hear me out! Carmela Ice Cream and Sorbet. Ok, I'm sorry if I'm a bit late on this one , I was, like, sort of in a third world country for a while. I know someone out there in good ole trendy LA is saying "Psh, that was yesterday!" But no, my friend, I say its today cos it is so very delicious.

I love samples at the Culver City Farmer's Market because 1) they are samples and b) you they are free. Which translates to FREE FOOD. I lingered for a while at Carmela's because vendor was super friendly and the it is free ice cream, for crying out Uncle Sam. I do understand that it is 47 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside, but its ice cream. I went for the Spicy Strawberry first. What a party in the mouth, my friends... Sweet strawberry, then smokey with a bit of lingering spice. Aztec Chocolate was next ... I was warned that the cayenne flavor would linger. First cinnamon, then Chocolate, no spice. And just as I was about to comment on that, it kicked in in the back of my throat. The palate cleanser was a light but complementary lemon basil.

All ingredients are purchased locally and the product is made locally. Delicious!

Well I wasn't in a third world country and I'd never heard of it. It sounds delish.
