Presenting Mrs. Nadolski ....

Chris and I are legally licensed to wed. After one hour, $70 and a trip to the Beverly Hills Municipal Court, we are legal to have a wedding and a marraige certificate through the county registrar.

We filled out the form with a StrongBad Home Star Runner pen that Chris gave me four years ago as an advent present.



That morning, I had found a lucky packet that my mother gave me after I returned from Africa. I used the money to pay for the license. Thank you Marmee.

As I filled out my section, I realized that if I wanted our marraige license to say Chris and Michelle Nadolski, I needed to change it at that moment. I froze. I had intended to change my name, but suddenly the reality of it hit me - this was really happening! Chris sensed my hesitation and looked at me and said "Thank you!" And when he did that, I realized how much it meant to him -- and that our kids would look more like me than him. That is something he would have no control over, however, me changing my name, I did have control over that. So I did it.





We are licensed to wed!

In other news, our photographer came over to sign the contract with us and offered us some camera time! It was totally unexpected or else I would've put on a nicer top! For someone who knew us for 30 minutes, I felt that our personalities shine in these photos. This is our block in front of my house -- who knew my neighborhood was so beautiful!
