What a lovely film, true the text, and intelligent in helping the film along nicely. I was truly transported as I sat in the El Capitan and watched the beautiful decorations and light show, along with fake snow, illuminating the atmosphere. Given that it was a Mosaic screening, we got to be in the presence of our friends which made it all the more special.
Christina invited all 200 of her closest coworkers from Rhythm & Hues, the visual effects house that constructed the great, fierce, but gentle Aslan. Roars of applause would go up everytime a R & H credit rolled across the screen.
There are some who say that we are all children at heart. I have a tendency to agree with that - there's something in all of us that strives to meet the basic needs of wanting to be held, fed, loved and attended to. To be heard, to participate and to laugh with others. As I navigate the world, I find souls who can't seem to do such things, instead they leave toxic trails of animosity, the brokenness of their lives going behind them, swallowing their ability to love and forsaking their fame. How I hope and wish that one day, in embracing a gentle leader like Aslan (I wonder who he represents! :) ), we can learn to walk to our thrones.

The children minus Edmund fighting the wolves ...
