A new season

A "real" post to come, but in the meantime, I hope this sates and whets your appetite in terms of an update.

- I found a workout album done by Arnie. It has Journey's "Don't Stop Believin!" on it. Stay tuned. I'll probably get in trouble if I keep talking about this and especially if I post it. Maybe just pictures later.

- I turned 30 on September 3. Photos to come. As for now, I will say that the whole process was wonderful, exciting and empowering.

- Finished two knitted shirts as gifts. Photos to come.

- No TV during the month of August, but I was nonetheless obssessed - with Harry Potter, that is! Finished the seventh book. And here's to one of the greatest stories ever told. Here, here.

- I'm moving. Sad. Happy. Busy. Photos to come. (So many promises!)

Some happy thoughts:
- My mother throws herself on the couch in fits of laughter.
- My nephew Nicholas asks me if God has time for him because there are so many little boys and girls in the world. He says its ok if He doesn't.
- Finding old notes that Chris wrote to be when we first started dating.
- Receiving grace from friends and the feeling of humility that comes.
- Receiving a phone call from my nephew cos he "just wants to talk."
- Nicholas telling me that he loves ketchup sandwiches.
- Fried rice at Kinchan's.
- Unexpected conversations with Wendell the security guard. His wisdom has kept me going all week.
- The thought that people can choose to remember the best about me and that because of the miracle that is grace, we can choose to love people even if it gets bad. Then, that's real love.
-Receiving e-cards.
- God knows. And it'll be ok.

Happy Fall!

Happy Birthday! The 30's are the best decade, I think, welcome to the club. I am in Singapore for a few days, and will be in Hong Kong Sat-Tuesday. It is good I am getting all of this travelling out of my system. Did you ever find that adventure you were looking for?

peace,
Rob

My favorite sequence on that album is on that Eddie Money track, "I Think I'm in Love":

Up
Up
Up
Up
Squeeze!
Crunch
Crunch
Crunch
9
10
Squeeze!
Crunch
Crunch
Energy!
Energy!
Squeeze!

Haha! Oh thank you for that wonderful study break!

Hey, you remind me of Jenni from Flipping Out. Do you watch that show?

It's a reality show on Bravo about this house flipper and his crazy staff. Funny stuff.
