A little English test for a big star

Since we're on the heels of Ang Lee's new film this coming out this weekend, I thought we could observe its release by posting up an interview one of the film's international movie stars Tony Leung. He did this in Japan for an English learning show while promoting 2046 the sequel to the beautiful, melancholy IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE. Don't miss the end, that's where all the fun is.

I still remember watching Tony on TVB (Hong Kong station). He had a series in which he played a cadet at the police academy. It was one of those things you gathered around for with the family. It is amazing how far he has gone, speaking fluent English without overseas training, winning the Best Male Performance in Cannes for IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, and making movies for such notaries as John Woo, Wong Kar Wai and Ang Lee. Not to mention at age 45, he looks 30 and still has that boyish charm.

So here's to all of us from the big small city, Hong Kong :)!
