Two knitted shirts and a few pumpkins

I promised to post some pictures on two shirts I recently made. One is for someone who shall not be named cos she hasn't even received this yet, but in this pic, Eliz is modeling it. Yes, the Rusted Root from Zephyr. I made it with Rowan Handknit Cotton on size 6's. It was ok, but the cotton had too much memory. Every little mistake can be seen. Still, I think its rather nice, no?

I surprised my mother with this White Lies Design shirt - the Krista Tee. Used Knit Picks Mainline in Dusty Lavender. Beautiful shirt and great knit, very easy. Mummy looks nice too I think. You wouldn't think that with this birthday she celebrated one that qualifies her for most senior citizen discounts. I didn't just type that on the worldwide web (do people still call it that?).

Its Chris' birthday today!! Welp, yesterday as of 22 minutes ago. He has officially outlived Jesus Christ :). Congrats, Chris! And since my pumpkin loves pumpkin so much, we're having a pumpkin week. First, a pumpkin bread pudding. A nice recipe. The candied ginger was hard for me to finely dice, so, erm, that didn't happen. Then, a pumpkin spice latte - didn't make it, Starbucks did. Then finally, tonight, surprised him with some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. We are going to Disneyland on Sunday to celebrate.

I don't have a photo of Chris enjoying his fine pumpkin selections, but this will have to do. Chris with Brannan this past summer. They're like two peas in a pod.

Happy Birthday! Whee!

WOOT! The Rusted Root! You know, cotton really isn't my favorite fiber to work with. Such a shame, considering our So Cal weather. That Krista looks amazing! Great job!
