Back to LA

I wrapped up my month stint up here in the Bay Area and I'm driving back down to Los Angeles tomorrow. As I got lost in today in the suburbs of South Bay, I marvelled at the perfect blend of California weather and the hues of the leaves in the fall trees. My eldest brother treated us to a great sushi dinner, but the kids were eager to get home to get their one hour per week of video gaming. Their dad was nice enough to buy for them the eagerly anticipated Wii game Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

As they clamored on each other for control of the screen, I sat back on the couch, relaxed, and not fussed with having to pick up after them or make sure their manners were in tact. I went back to being their aunt.

Which is great because it means that I'm moving to the next chapter back to Los Angeles, my friends who are my family, and the city I've lived in for ten years. Not to mention, it also meant that I could sneak away something from Nic and Brannan and bring it back to the big "kid" back at home. Oh, who am I kidding? Its really for me because its so darn fun and cute!
