18 Mayo - a love letter to Toledo, Spain
I was in an old Moorish Castle today, sitting inside, on the 2nd floor looking outside. It was close to sunset, and a Spanish band from Madagascar was playing out in the plaza. A breeze swept through the windows as I listened to the Staccato rhythms of their African instruments. Heat washed over my face as I studied the band, the people, the wonderful city of Toledo, Spain. Children were clapping and dancing, and the hills of Toledo rolled into the horizon, terra cotta roofs dotting its plains. Tears came to my eyes. What a gift.
